BANANA PUDDING FESTIVAL. (APRIL 5/10 AM-4PM). DOWNTOWN MONTEREY, TN. Sponsored by Center Hill Events, it brought over 10,000 people to Monterey last year. There are already over 175+ vendors. Its FREE admission and parking. You will be the judge of the Banana Pudding Tasting Contest. For $5 (Cash Only), you will be able to taste Banana Pudding from all the contestants. Tasting starts at 10 a.m. at the Monterey Farmers Market. For kids, there will be a petting zoo and “train” rides. MONTEREY EASTER EGG HUNT. (APRIL 12/10AM WHITTAKER PARK & SURROUNDING) Have you seen the price of eggs lately? Do not worry! During the Town of Monterey’s Easter Egg Hunt, the brightly colored eggs filled with candy, and hidden by the Easter Bunny himself will be FREE to all the kiddos!
Three age groups will be hunting at three locations: Toddlers to 4-years will be at the Little League field; ages 5-8 at Whittaker Park; and ages 9-12 at the Standing Stone Monument. Please note, one parent per child is permitted to assist the toddler to age 4 group. Each egg hunting site will feature five prize eggs and one golden egg, as well as a prize claim station.
