The best kept secret in the Upper Cumberland has upped its game! Read on to learn more about Whitaker Park and the fun improvements that have taken place there!

Located just three minutes from the busy world of I-40 sits lovely Whitaker Park in Monterey, Tennessee.

Donated to the City by its namesake Jeff Whitaker in 1893, the acreage that comprises Whitaker Park has provided family fun for generations!

From a jaw-dropping wooden pirate ship play area to traditional jungle gyms, swings, and slides, the playground portion is built for burning off “Capri Sun” calories! And, new for 2023, the playground equipment just got a BIG upgrade thanks to a grant awarded to the city. Be sure to check out the upgraded swings, mulch throughout much of the park, new slide equipment, and more!

Note: If you’re looking to cool off on a hot day, Whitaker Park has just what you need in their new water feature!
