Are you a resident of the Upper Cumberland looking for stunning views close to
home? Bee Rock is for you! Read further to learn more about this jaw-dropping
natural wonder right around the corner!
Gifted to the City of Monterey by Nashville attorney Bobby Walker in 2019, the 10.65 acres that make up Bee Rock form one the most iconic overlooks in the Upper Cumberland.
Bee Rock sits less than two minutes from I-40 in Putnam County and features breath-taking views, a short, family-friendly hike, and an unmatched connection with nature. A favorite spot of Monterey citizens for more than a century, the site has garnered more attention (and foot traffic) since its donation three years ago.
What’s more, its designation as a conservation easement means Bee Rock is now a permanently protected local treasure moving forward.
While this incredible overlook isn’t going away anytime soon, we recommend you visit it during the late spring and early summer, a stretch when the greens of the area are in peak display.

You won’t regret it!

Once you’re here, stay awhile! Monterey is teeming with retail shops, eateries, and a public park your kids are sure to love!
