Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree

Join us Saturday, October 29 for a Halloween party on Commercial Avenue
Trick or treating, games, inflatables, food, pumpkin carving contest, and a movie under the stars. The fun begins at 5 p.m. on Commercial Avenue between Poplar Street and Chestnut Street.
All Monterey area businesses, churches, and organizations are encouraged to set up along Commercial Avenue and pass out candy. Interested participants should contact the Monterey Depot Museum for more information.
Cash prizes of $200, $100, and $50 will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the pumpkin carving contest. Entries need to be dropped off at the contest booth by 6 p.m. Winners will be announced at 6:30 p.m.
Don’t forget the lawn chairs and blankets for the movie! Hocus Pocus (the original) will be shown on the Town of Monterey’s new 24-foot movie screen. Showtime is 7 p.m.
